“A Workshop on Autobiographical Storytelling with Theatremaker Hannah Maxwell. Our most personal, idiosyncratic and mundane experiences can drive the most resonate and meaningful stories. Over two 3-hour sessions, we will mine our own lives as basis for storytelling. Written, improvisational and generative exercises will allow us to experiment with DIY methodologies of making: infusing writing with our own voice, extrapolating persona from the self, heightening anecdote for performance, and harnessing audience, media and liveness. At the end of the workshop, we will have created and shared new written and performance material, and engaged in creative group feedback techniques, to transform moments of personal history into short performance texts. “
