The De Valette International Chamber Music Festival (DV’Classical) offers a distinguished platform for musical dialogue and cultural exchange and proudly announces its inaugural edition – a refined celebration of chamber music excellence in the heart of Valletta. An exhilarating evening of virtuosic brilliance will open internationally renowned Polish violinist Bartlomiej Niziol. A multiple prizewinner at major international violin competitions including the Wieniawski, Tchaikovsky, and Marguerite-Long-Jacques-Thibaud, Niziol is celebrated for his extraordinary virtuosity. The programme opens with Wieniawski’s Fantasia on Themes from Faust, a tour de force of technical brilliance and theatrical flair. Mendelssohn’s rarely performed Violin Concerto in D minor follows, revealing youthful intensity and lyrical elegance. Concluding the evening is Karłowicz’s Serenade for Strings, a richly orchestrated homage to Polish Romantic elegance and emotional depth.
