Violinist Samuel Cutajar and guitarist Kolja Gibbs perform a diverse programme ranging from Italian baroque, a mixture of sweet and lively Paganini, a history of the tango by Piazzolla, and also a reintroduction of virtuosic gems by Maltese composers Carlo Fiammino and Albert Garzia. Duo Hafdar was formed in London in 2018 and has enjoyed multiple performances in the UK and Malta. Samuel Cutajar is establishing himself as one of the most vibrant and eclectic Maltese young violinists. He recently graduated from the Royal Academy of Music in London, and currently freelances with the Royal Ballet Sinfonia, and other ensembles. Kolja Gibbs is an award-winning Australian/German guitarist who has performed in Germany, the Netherlands, Malta, the UK and Italy. He is based in Cologne, where he works as a performer, arranger and teacher.
