A concert version of the opera Drusilla Vedova Ingegnosa (The Ingenious widow) with music by Giuseppe Sellitto and a libretto by Tomaso Mariani, written in presented by the singers and musicians of the Conservatorio di Potenza, Italy. The plot tells of Drusilla, a young woman determined to end her widowhood, targeting what seems to be a good match, the new self-styled doctor Strabo, who has recently arrived in town. She pretends to be sick to gather his attention and sympathy, and to try to charm him. But it turns out to be not so easy and she will have to devise many plots to convince him to marry her. Disguises, misunderstandings, gags, accusations and counter-accusations, duels and all the ingredients of the commedia dell’arte are all interwoven until the final happy ending.
