Principal horn of the MPO Etienne Cutajar and tenor Mark Milhofer join forces in Britten’s Serenade for Tenor, Horn and Strings, a luminous setting of haunting poetry. Poulenc’s charming Sinfonietta brims with rhythmic vitality and French esprit. Closing with grace and poignancy is Ravel’s Le Tombeau de Couperin, a tribute to fallen friends shaped by Baroque forms and impressionistic colour.
