A humorous play in 2 acts by Trevor Zahra, based on his humorous novel of the same name, woven around an eccentric jolly headmaster in a public primary school. A stage adaptation of this novel was first performed at Teatru Manoel thirty years ago in 1994.
In 2020, Trevor Żahra, widely recognised as Malta’s most prolific writer, was awarded the prestigious National Book Prize Lifetime Achievement Award for Literature. The Prize pays tribute to Żahra’s long career of important contributions to local literature, having published more than 130 books for children, adolescents and adults. Żahra is also Malta’s most decorated National Book Prize winning author, having received the Prize for nineteen times as a writer and once as an illustrator.
This production is directed by Joseph Galea and features Charles Sammut in the main role.
